Students win honors at ArtBreak 2025
Two eighth grade students at St. Mark's Cathedral School were recognized at ArtBreak 2025 as visual arts winners. Theiler V. '25 won the $50 Best of 3D Award for Coils of Color. Brooke M. '25 won the $50 Best of Fibers Award for Serenity Koi., as well as the Jurors' Choice Visual Award for Light in the Dark. Eleven additional students in kindergarten through eighth grade also submitted visual arts entries.
Produced by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and Caddo Parish Schools, the Annual ArtBreak Festival is the largest showcase of Student Art programs in the South featuring more than 100 Caddo Parish and private schools, more than 50 hands-on STEAM learning activities, more than 100 school and community performances, more than 4,000 student works of visual and literary art and over $20,000 in cash awards. The ArtBreak Festival provides the entire region the opportunity to witness first-hand the results of quality Fine Arts instruction and Arts in Education programming.
