Eighth graders welcome fifth graders to Middle School
On May 9, fifth and eighth graders at St. Mark's Cathedral School gathered with their families in the Cathedral for the traditional Navy Tie/Striped Shirt Ceremony. Eighth graders gave their fifth grade "little brothers and sisters" a striped shirt or navy tie - distinctive pieces of the Middle School uniform. This longtime tradition symbolic gesture marks the promotion of fifth graders into Middle School and serves as a heartfelt reminder that a part of each of graduating eighth grader will remain at St. Mark's.
Following the ceremony, students enjoyed separate luncheons for the boys and the girls. During these gatherings, eighth graders shared words of wisdom, favorite memories, and humorous stories from their Middle School year.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 and Class of 2028!
