Alumni at CMHS earn honors on world language exams
Five St. Mark's Cathedral School alumni who attend Caddo Magnet High School were recognized for their outstanding performances on the national exams for French, German, Latin, and Spanish.
The National French Contest (Le Grand Concours) is an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. The mission of the test is to encourage students in the study of French and provide an opportunity for recognition.
The National German Exam (NGE) provides individual diagnostic feedback, rewards students through an extensive regional and national prize program, and creates a sense of accomplishment.
The National Latin Exam (NLE) is a test given annually to Latin students across the United States and around the world. The NLE is not meant to be a competition but rather an opportunity for students to receive reinforcement and recognition for their accomplishments in the classroom. Depending upon their score, students may earn certificates, medals, and may even qualify for scholarships.
The National Spanish Exam is a motivational contest to recognize student achievements in the study of Spanish and to stimulate further interest in the teaching and learning of Spanish.
