St. Mark’s Lower School strives to provide a nurturing environment where teachers and staff work hard to build strong relationships with parents to ensure students become independent learners and problem-solvers. Our highly trained and experienced faculty understand the academic, social, and emotional needs of our Lower School students and nurture the various learning styles of each child. Our small class sizes enable us to provide students with one-on-one attention and to differentiate instruction. By creating nurturing classrooms, individualized attention, and rigorous academics, we provide opportunities for each student to thrive at St. Mark’s and ensure successful life-time learners.
St. Mark’s Lower School is 1st through 5th grades with two homerooms per grade. Our homeroom class sizes range from 14-16 students. In grades 1-3, our students have one teacher for all core subjects. In grades 4 and 5, our students switch classes and have two teachers for all core subjects. Along with our core classes, our Lower School students have daily enrichment classes, recess, and P.E. It all begins here with well-rounded Lower School students.
