Discover St. Mark's Middle School

Prospective students may be dropped off at the main school office (2785 Fairfield Ave.) at 8:15 a.m.

8:30-10 a.m. - 5th Grade Visits Middle School (Students Only)

Current and prospective rising 6th grade students will rotate through all 6th grade classes (excluding enrichments) and visit the science lab. They will hear from students and teachers about the curriculum and what to expect in Middle School. (Students will then return to 5th grade classes for about an hour.)

11-11:30 a.m. - Pep Rally in the Gym (Student & Parents)

Parents are invited to join students to hear about the Middle School experience from the perspective of our students and recent alumni in high school. We will also announce our 8th grade/5th grade big/little brothers and sisters, a longstanding St. Mark's tradition. Any prospective students joining us for this event will be matched up with an 8th grade buddy as well.

11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. - Big/Little Brothers/Sisters Lunch & P.E. (Students Only)

All rising 6th grade students will eat lunch with their 8th grade big brothers/sisters and then enjoy P.E. together. Prospective students may be picked up by their parents at 12:45 p.m.

Please meet in the St. Mark's gym at 11 a.m. The gym is located in the Ministry Center at St. Mark's Cathedral (908 Rutherford St.).

Parents will enjoy lunch and hear from Alexis Wedgeworth (Assistant Head of School for Teaching & Learning), Dr. Chris Carter (Head of School), and the Middle School teachers about the Middle School curriculum, the transition to Middle School, and high school credits and placements. Q & A session to follow.
