Extended Care & Extracurricular Programs

St. Mark's offers daily extended care starting as early as 6:45 a.m. and ending as late as 5:30 p.m. to meet the needs of our families. In addition to extended care, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities for students of all ages each semester.

2024-2025 Extended Care Registration

After-School at St. Mark's (ASM)

Preschool ASM

Preschool After-School at St. Mark's (ASM) offers the convenience of flexible scheduling and same-day, drop-in availability to meet the needs of our families.

Begins at 12 p.m. for preschool 2-4. PS3 and PS4 students begins ASM with lunch. PS2 students will be finishing lunch and transitioning to rest time.
Lunch: PS3 and PS4 students have the option of ordering a catered lunch through St. Mark's lunch program. Milk may also be purchased through the school. During lunch, we encourage students' self-help skills in managing their lunch as well as appropriate table manners. Teachers sit with students and facilitate pleasant conversation.
Outdoor/Indoor Play: After lunch, students play outside or at inside centers, depending on the weather.
Rest: Students follow a rest time routine that includes collecting their resting mats, toileting, and reciting the daily prayer. Teachers read stories by the selected author of the month, or other seasonal titles.
Outdoor/Indoor Play: After the rest period, students spend time outside or enjoy indoor centers in the case of inclement weather.
Snack: After 3 p.m. carpool is complete, kindergarten ASM students join the remaining preschool 2-4 ASM students for a nutritious snack.
Team Meeting: A teacher then conducts an “ASM team meeting” with the children to read a story and introduce the activities for the afternoon.
Afternoon Activities: In addition to free play, students at “Late ASM” engage in a variety of literacy and math centers, art, games, cooking, science, music, and exercise.

ASM annual registration is for those students who attend ASM the same days/times each week throughout the year.
ASM rates are based on an annual amount and will be prorated for the number of days utilized per week and for late start or early end dates. Total amounts are divided and billed evenly to parent FACTS accounts over nine months from August throughout April.
ASM schedules can be changed at any time during the year. Schedule changes are billed an additional $25 per change.
A late fee of $25 will be charged for pick-ups one minute or more after the registered time.

Drop-in care is provided for students who only need ASM occasionally or use ASM on different days/times from week to week.
Drop-ins outside of a student's annual ASM registration will not be prorated; they will be billed to the parent FACTS account at the end of each month according to the standard drop-in pricing.
A late fee of $25 will be charged for pick-ups after 5:30 p.m.
To request a drop-in, please contact the school. You do NOT need to complete ASM online registration if using ASM on a drop-in basis.

Before-School Care

Days & Time: 6:45-7:30 a.m., Monday-Friday

Cost: $990 for the school year

Billed to your FACTS account in nine monthly payments of $110 from August-April.
Before-school care can be added or discontinued at any time. Late start or early end dates will be prorated.
Before-school care will not be prorated for number of days utilized per week if not attending daily.
Drop-ins are allowed with 24-hour notice ($15 per day).

Location: Preschool Multipurpose Room (drop off at the Preschool entrance)

Each semester, we offer several on-campus extracurricular activities both during the school day and after school. Some programs are offered directly through the school while others programs are independently operated. Below are sample offerings; age groups vary.
