Middle School Parent/Teacher/Student Agreement

St. Mark’s Cathedral School believes that a successful educational experience is a partnership between parents, teachers, and students. As a member of the SMCS Middle School community you can expect the following:

Teachers agree to:

  • Provide a Course Overview (Expectations, Daily Procedures, SMCS policies, Major topics covered in the course)
  • Weekly Communication
  • Post Homework weekly on Google Classroom (Teachers will be understanding of unforeseen circumstances should they occur if communicated to the teacher the night before the assignment is due.)
  • Respond to an email or text from parents before the end of the following school day.
  • Communicate with parents in a cordial and respectful manner

Parents agree to:

  • Communicate with the teacher classroom concerns prior to contacting the Middle School Director.
  • Communicate with teachers in a cordial and respectful manner.
  • Read and respond accordingly to communication from the teacher and school.
  • Support the rules and procedures established by the school in the Parent/Student Handbook.

Students agree to:

  • Check school email daily.
  • Check grades weekly.
  • Follow the expectations set by the teacher in the Course Outline.
  • Attend class.
  • Be on time.
  • Email the teacher when absent.
